Mantua Tailored Wellness Programs
Plans to Help Your Pet Live a Long & Healthy Life
No two pets are identical, and each animal has different needs depending on his or her breed, age, and lifestyle. With this in mind, Greenfields Veterinary Associates offers cost-effective tailored wellness programs that provide individualized care for your pet through each stage of his or her life. By enrolling in a wellness program, you are taking an important preventative care step that helps prevent diseases, manage your pet’s nutrition, and monitor his or her behavioral and physical wellbeing.

Puppy & Kitten Wellness
Getting a new puppy or kitten is an incredibly exciting occasion, but they are also delicate creatures at this time and need additional veterinary attention. When you sign up for a puppy or kitten wellness plan, our veterinarians will be able to perform necessary physical examinations that will allow us to ensure your new furry friend is healthy and does not have any concerning medical conditions. Through these plans, we will provide you with information that includes our best practices for raising dogs and cats through their first year of life such as how often they need to be groomed, how to prevent parasites, what vaccinations they need, how to properly train them, and more.
Senior Pet Wellness
Pets age seven times faster than humans; as they do, they are more susceptible to certain diseases and it is important to take preventative measures.
Our senior pet wellness program includes screening for:
- Cancer
- Cushing’s
- Diabetes
- Kidney disease
This program also includes thorough bi-annual physical examinations, blood work, and urine testing. Depending on preliminary results, our veterinarians might order diagnostic imaging or ECGs. This allows us to catch any conditions as early as possible and manage them as best as we can.
Nutritional Counseling
Just as our diets are important to our overall health, the same goes for our pets. Pet stores are stocked full of foods that boast they have all the nutrients your pet needs, which should make selecting a food easier. However, many pet owners are unaware of the fact that pets’ dietary needs change depending on their age and how active they are.
Additionally, there are medicated diets that can help manage certain conditions, such as:
- Arthritis
- Diabetes
- Heart disease
- Kidney disease
Just like humans, our pets require a certain amount of calories a day. When you sign up for nutritional counseling, our veterinarians will be able to help you ensure that your pet maintains a healthy weight and is getting the necessary nutrients through his or her food.
